Frequently ASked Questions
What is Route 33 Wrestling?
Route 33 Wrestling is a professional wrestling company located in Spencer, WV. It is owned and directed by Jessi McCumbers.
What's your story?
Route 33 Wrestling was started in October 2017 after Jessi McCumbers suffered a severe injury that took her away from active training for several months. She used this time away to organize and start Route 33 Wrestling. Her goals in starting this company were to provide affordable, family-friendly entertainment to Spencer and the surrounding areas, set a new standard of professionalism in the wrestling community, and use sports entertainment as a tool for positive change. Previous events have benefited school groups and community theatres.
Any notable individuals wrestle for Route 33 Wrestling?
Yes! We have been lucky to host individuals such as Robbie E (TNA/Impact and NXT), King Kaluha (NWF/ICW), Chris LeRusso (Future of Honor), and Gary Gandy (WWE).
When is your next event, and how can I get tickets?
Click/tap on the "Events" tab to see our latest show dates, or visit facebook.com/rt33wrestling. We have partnered with Eventbrite to enable fans to reserve tickets right from Facebook! General admission tickets are also available at the door starting at 6 PM on event days.
How much is admission?
Effective 1/1/23:
Can I reserve a specific seat?
Seating is first-come, first-served. However, if you preorder your ticket online, you will skip the line and enter before those paying at the door, which allows you first dibs on the seats of your choice (and you get a $5 discount per ticket!). We highly recommend reserving your tickets ahead of time!
Where are your events held?
We have been lucky to utilize the National Guard Armory Facility located at 207 E. Main St. in Spencer, WV for all of our events. To use GPS, please type in "Spencer Armory Facality."
We are located next to the Spencer Volunteer Fire Department, and across from Spencer Spirits.
Do you serve alcohol at your events?
Not at this time. We pride ourselves on providing entertainment that's fit for the whole family, and alcoholic beverages are not a part of this vision. That said, we are currently exploring the idea of hosting 21+ events in the future. Stay tuned!
What do you mean by "family-friendly?"
Our events are largely free of foul language and blood. We do our best to ensure that fans of all ages can enjoy our events. That said, it is important to remember that professional wrestling depicts physical violence, and that occasionally, competitors may suffer injuries that result in bleeding.
As such, if we could give our content a parental rating, we would say it ranges from PG to PG-13. Use discretion when bringing young children to a Route 33 Wrestling event.
What can I expect at your event?
Great food, amazing merchandise, and high-octane professional wrestling action! We sanction a wide variety of matches, including singles matches, tag team action, championship/title bouts, women's wrestling, intergender matches, and a variety of stipulation matches, such as Last Man Standing and No Disqualification matches. Masked wrestlers, huge monsters, high flyers... it's all present at Route 33 Wrestling! Some wrestlers really enjoy engaging with fans, so get those hands up for high fives, and (in the case of "Lover Boy" Terrence Morelli) prepare to dance!
Do you have an online store?
Sure do! Click here to browse our swag.
We also just launched our own network on PayHip, where you can purchase previous events. Go check it out here!
Are your events handicap accessible?
Yes! Should you require assistance, please don't hesitate to ask a Route 33 Wrestling crew member.
Where should I park?
The armory offers two parking lots. The first lot can be accessed by turning to the left after entering the armory driveway. The second lot is located closer to the entrance; we ask that this area be reserved for the handicapped.
Are there restrooms at the Armory?
There is a men's restroom in the main arena, and a women's restroom in the concession area. Should you require wheelchair accessible facilities, please ask a Route 33 Wrestling crew member, and we'll be happy to direct you.
Are there any rules/policies I should be aware of?
We do have a Code of Conduct for all attendees. You can read it in detail here.
Are there any COVID-19 restrictions or guidelines?
Click here to read about our COVID-19 safeguards.
Can I bring a sign to hold up in the crowd?
Absolutely, we encourage it! Just make sure it's family-friendly, and that you don't obstruct anyone's view.
